I have got to say I was disappointed after reading all the favorable reviews. I decided to have the Ebishio Ramen with the BBQ Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl set. Presentation was nice, but I can't say much for the food. The ramen noodles were nicely done and medium thickness...good, but the soup tasted like a watered down cream of mushroom soup. The taste threw off my pleasure of the noodles and desire to finish the broth which I normally would. For the BBQ Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl, it tasted like they raided the base's commissary for the BBQ sauce...very strong and just drowned out the taste of the chicken and rice. Something you would expect on...

This is a small ramen shop with very delicious ramen. First thing I really noticed was the handmade pottery bowls that they serve the ramen in. They're very classy looking and fun to eat ramen out of. Ramen is very delicious and it seems a little healthier than most ramen shops. There wasn't as much oil in the ramen. I also enjoyed the thing called "dunk rice" which is a little bowl of rice that you can add to the ramen soup after you finish the noodles. Made a nice way to finish the soup. The staff is also really friendly and there are English menus if...

Not your usual ramen, I mean this in a good way. The taste is definitely unique compared to the usual joints like Shin Shin and Ichiran. I got the creamy crab ramen, which I only found here and never found at any other ramen place.

It's considerably near from Sasebo station, around 10-15 minutes walk. We arrived there around 11:10am before their opening time of 11:30. We were lucky to arrive early because a few minutes later people started showing up. So we were the first ones in and got served quickly.

If you're a ramen enthusiast, this is a must try...

This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation. recommend to everyone! Toride bowl: the broth was not overly salty. Creamy. love how the seaweed balanced and brought out more flavor. Together with the fried onions on top, it was a esthetically pleasing meal. The price was just right. Good portion size. The Nikumaze bowl was my favorite. The thinly sliced marinated meat. Nothing to complaint. I would like to come back here again and again.

Having traveled numerous times throughout Japan, I can unequivocally say this has been one of my best ramen experiences. The broth is unique. It's different than your common ramen: shoyu, miso and tonkotsu. I ordered the "Ginjo." The broth is creamy and buttery, and the crab adds to the broth a light and sweet flavor which is finely balanced with the sauteed onions and lemon grass. I highly recommend ordering the Ginjo or exploring there other ramen selections. Itadakimas!

Not my first time here in Toride, I've been here 3 times already and I'm sure I will coming back for more. I really enjoy all the food I had. I wish I took photo of other dishes. Everything I tried are so delicious and beyond my expectations. All readers of this review should try everything under their menus, specially the Toride ramen and the dunk of rice,lol.. The place was small but you won't regret the experience.
