small family like athomosphere. i was surprised that you get so much food, so you better bring a second person, or be real hungry. i was disppointed in myself that i had to stop at the grilled fish because my stomache was completely full. if you don't speak japanese it helps using google translate or at least using gestics what you want. i was lucky a guest recommended course B. as my native language is german this doesn't help either, but at least some very basic words for gratitude as i was very pleased. i have a feeling the owner is a very funny person you can have fun with. got some farwell present and the owner made a joke (business card). best to come and find out yourself what this is about. so very welcoming athomosphere, which i recommend if you want to treat...

This place is tucked away in a back alley and my colleague and I ate there this evening. The restaurant exudes the sweet fragrance of tradition. As far as we could tell (language was a barrier that was partially breached using Google Translate), there wasn't a menu as such. We ate what we were served. And what we were served was spectacular: Tuna, octopus, surface clam, sea squirt .. I cannot profess to have eaten lots of sushi in lots of places around Japan. But I have had good sushi, and this was the best I have ever had. The place is slightly more expensive than other places in Sendai, but that is as it should be. I would highly recommend...

Wow! We visited here last night from Victoria, BC, Canada and had a top notch experience! Due to the language barrier, I didn't realize how high end it was and we ordered the chef's special and can definitely say it was the best sushi we've ever had. We used Google translate with the woman chef to read the menu and to communicate with staff. The staff have wonderful, kind, entertaining personalities and we left so grateful our dining experience was so special and Onishi! Thank you again to the delightful people who treated us so well.
