秋保農菓「菓と土」 — Restaurant in Sendai

I know there is lots of souvenirs snack shops everywhere in Sendai. HOWEVER, it has its speciality which is to use local products harvested by the farmers in the area. I think it is interesting how they think of making the snack from their seasonal products from the area. It sounds creative and sustainable for the people of the area. Cute. Apart from that, it is a small “omiyage” shop with a wooden design which makes its interior atmosphere a refreshing(especially during summer). When you enter the shop, you see the showcase of the products. Behind the showcase, their kitchen is visible and you can watch them doing their job. It was very clean. I ate peach jelly puding which was really refreshing especially that small mint touch. Considering the product taste, service, shop atmosphere and local harvested products are being used, I believe they did a good job. I was thinking about a small table to eat my puding but since it is souvenir shop not a cafe, i understand....

赤い屋根と黒っぽい壁のコントラストが特徴的な外観です。 店内はノスタルジックで和モダンな雰囲気です。 江戸時代の建物を改修したようで、日本らしく奥ゆかしい趣が漂っています。

イートインも可能ですが、 初めて目にするユニークなルックスの 「秋保石菓 ¥378」 本日発売開始ということなので、 「フィナンシェ 抹茶あんこ ¥308」 をテイクアウトすることに。 両方とも試食して購入を決めました。
