Charming cafe near Kawauchi Campus. Had delicious hayashi rice, sweets, and various coffee. Now I found a perfect spot for lunch and short study before going to class. The atmosphere was really nice for relaxing or chatting with friends too.

ノスタルジックカフェ 宮城県立美術館まで行ったので近くのカフェを散策。昔懐かしい感じの外観、店内はジャズが流れて本棚がたくさん。ソファにもこだわりがあり、好きな本を片手に音楽とストレート珈琲を楽しむことができる良い店。靴を脱いでくつろげる小上がりがあるのもまた古風。新しいメニューのホットサンドにはポテトサラダがサンドされ、カリカリのパンとしっとりとしたポテサラが激ウマ。 駐車場が無いので駅を利用するのがオススメ！

I've wanted to go here since arriving in Sendai, but it was closed for a year while the owner went overseas to do some cooking training (I think). The atmosphere inside is very nice, with the background filled in with the quiet notes of Jazz music. It's an extremely western atmosphere, many bookshelves filled with art and photo books about Sendai, foriegn countries, chairs, stairs, and more. There are many different seats to choose from.

I ordered the rice pilaf, which was very filling and came with miso soup. For dessert, cheesecake and an ice coffee.
