Straight out of Studio Ghibli. 😍 . The coffee shop captured my eyes when I was on my way to Iwamoto temple (岩本寺). It was almost covered by English ivy, only sights left are the door and windows. I was curious to find out. I stepped inside, ‘wow’- the first thing that popped in my head. It’s like another world: the jazz music, coffee aroma, people talks,... Everything was so different to the quiet atmosphere outside a second ago. . I was guided by the owners where to sit. Almost every table were occupied. But I felt lucky to sit where I can observe around. The walls were covered with photos, vintage posters, newspaper articles,... some are gifts from customers. At first, I was a little hesitate to order because I’m not a coffee drinker, but the photo in the menu look so tempted. Finally, I decided to order wienier melange coffee and a piece of cake. I was surprised: how coffee could be so delicious? It was special light roast kaffee beans, which doesn’t have the acidic taste, and with whipped cream on top (instead of milk like cappuccino, but I’m not a coffee expert so please correct me if I’m wrong). The coffee goes so well with the sweetness of the cake, especially for the person who love sweets like me. . After enjoyed myself around and talked with the lady owner, she thought I was a model (I wish 😂). The owner couple seemed so nice and calm. They don’t interfere with the customer pace. They kept getting orders and coffee beans to go. I felt relaxing afterward with a cup of hot tea from them. . The friendly services, the wonderful taste, the nostalgic atmosphere,... everything combine is so perfect, I wanted to share it with my bf. So we went there together on the second time. . The store located in Kubokawa, around 1 hour 20 mins by car or 1 hour 30 mins by train from Sukumo city station. I would come again and again. It’s like I could travel...

四万十町の岩本寺の近くにある、昔ながらの雰囲気を醸す喫茶店です。岩本寺から歩いて2分の所にあります。 外装は蔦で覆われていて、入口が少し分かりづらいけど2つあります（昔、左側が甘味、右側が喫茶だったのをニコイチにした名残らしい）。駐車場は国道沿いに2台ありました。 店内はコーヒーのいい匂いが漂っていて、ジャズが流れて落ち着いた雰囲気です。店内は雑多なので清潔感があるかと言われたら…個人的には全く気にならないし寧ろ好きな感じでした。たまに黒電話の音が聞こえてきます。しっかり使われていて、昭和がそこに取り残されているようでした。 こだわりのコーヒーがメニュー表に沢山書かれています。食事はピザとサンドイッチ、メニューには書いてないけどトースト（二枚500円）もあります。ホットケーキや何種類かケーキもありました。 モーニングはメニューに無かったので、コーヒーとトーストとサンドイッチを注文しました。コーヒーには疎いのでそのこだわりは表現できませんが、ブレンドコーヒーはマイルドな口当たりで飲みやすく美味しかったです。サンドイッチはハム野菜サンドと玉子サンドがニコイチになっていて、からしマヨネーズが効いて美味しかったです。食後にお茶が出てきてびっくりしました。ありがたかったです。 伝票の裏に感想を書く欄があっ...
