Five of us entered the shop anticipating amazing soba based on reviews online and the huge queue. The place specialises in soba and only serves a few variations. We each ordered different variations of soba..some with the rice set..some hot..some cold. Soba was dull and underwhelming.. rice was soft n mushy..bland as well. Overall a really disappointing experience. We are unsure if we were just unaccustomed to the local taste but we felt that the soba were way too simple n tasteless for the price. Many eateries close at 2 pm, so make sure to have lunch before then. The eatery is compact, with only counter seating for approximately 14 people. We waited for about 20 minutes before securing a table for two.

They offer an English menu, so don't hesitate to ask for it. We tried the hot soba with quail egg, grated yam, and seaweed priced at ¥1100. What's intriguing is that their soba is cut short, reminiscent of Taiwan's 阿中面线 or even Singapore's Katong laksa! You can enjoy it without using chopsticks; simply scoop it with your spoon.

A small place but great food and service. Had about 20 people ahead of me in line when I arrived. Wait was still quick. 20min maybe. Food was worth it. Clearly a small shop that cares about their quality and service rather than fitting in more customers. Ended up getting a hot soba set...
