喫茶店SiMiZU — Restaurant in Shizuoka

This place is like a local hidden gem. We are greeted by the grandma who owns the place. The place is very small, only two tables and eight chairs. When we were there, next to our table was a chalkboard with something written on it. We used google Translate, and it said that the grandma recently just got surgery, so she was having difficulty speaking. We ordered ice coffee and egg toast. We were surprised when our breakfast arrived. It was the biggest egg toast I've ever had. Very thick bread and thick egg roll. And of course it was delicious. But because it was too early in the morning, I could only eat half of the toast and take away the other half. What surprised us more was the price hella cheap. But from the moment I walked in, she seemed annoyed at me. She was roughly pointing to use phone translate for the menu, even though I could read it, and felt rushed into ordering.

When my food came, she bluntly put it on the table and walked away.

I don't know what I did wrong, but she was seemingly always angry at me for every interaction.

以前から気になっていたSiMiZUさんに初訪問です。 日曜日の昼に近い時間で利用しました。 営業時間が午前中になっていたので、オーダーストップが気になりましたが、私より後にお客さんが入って注文できていたので、おそらく事務的に閉めたりはしないお店だと思われます。

お店は七間町通りの市上下水道局ビルより少し西にあります。通り沿いの四角い郵便ポストが目印です📮

入店すぐ右側に、お店のご主人が声が出ない事が記されています。お店のルール、と言うより、店主への心遣いを忘れずに楽しんで下さい。

座席は入店すぐのスペースに4人掛けテーブル2つありますが、客席は奥にもあるっぽいです。 奥のキャパは解りません。

空いている席に座り、オーダー等は店主の時間に合わせましょう。待っていればお茶、おしぼり、メニューを持って来てくれます。

メニューはたまごトースト、あんバタートースト、ポテサラトースト、ハムトースト、ピザ風チーズトーストの5種類で、どれもドリンクがついて500円(税込)でした。 ドリンクはコーヒー、カフェオーレ、ミルクがそれぞれH/Cとコーラが選べます。

私はあんバタートーストとアイスオーレのセットをチョイス。 パンを焼く時間とあんバターを挟む時間、盛り付け時間で10分ほどかかります。 で、運ばれてくるわけですが、どう考えても具材の分量がバグっています。

トーストは４枚切りほどの厚切り２枚に、あんこの厚みが1.5〜2.0cmはあろうかと思われます。あんこは粒あんです。下手に残してしまうより、最初から「あんこ半分」のオーダーでも良いかもしれません。できるかどうかは知らんけどw

ドリンクもスタバのレギュラーほどのタンブラーに入ってくるので、十分満足できる量です。 あんこが多いので、半分食べ切ったところで最後まで食べることができるか心配になりましたが、スライスレモンと塩昆布が良い仕事をしますので、完食することができました。

隣のテーブルにいた2人はあんバタートーストとたまごトーストを頼んで、半分ずつ食べていましたが、正解ですw それができないのが独り身の辛さですが、次回たまごトーストを頂きたいと思います。
