ホンチキン — Restaurant in Takasaki

Small authentic Korean restaurant ran by a Korean-Japanese couple in tiny corner of Takasaki. We went right before the dinner rush, so it was slow enough that the owners came out and talked to us a bit. Super nice people, and added to the very cozy and vibe they had going on.

Lots of good sauces for their chicken, which they fry with just batter rather than breading it. Also the chef is Korean, so you can request to dial the spice up to Korean-levels for anyone interested. I recommend adding the fried tteokbokki topping no matter what chicken you order.

フライドチキンの手羽元と骨なし、ヤンニョムチキン、チーズボールをテイクアウトしました。電話の時も引き渡しの時もとても丁寧な対応でした。お肉の数は注文数より多く入っていた気がします◎あとヤンニョムにはトッポッキのおまけも。クーポンでコーラ1本もいただきました。 初めての韓国チキンでしたが、特にノーマルのフライドチキンは、外はサクサク、中はジューシーで食感も良くとても美味しかったです。スパイス塩とレモンを別添してくれましたが、そもそも肉の下味が独特でしっかりしていたので何もつけずに食べ切ってしまいました(笑)。骨なしも手羽元も同じくらいジューシーな感じでしたので個人的には骨なし推しです。あとビニール手袋をお箸と同数つけてくれていたので、次回は手羽先にトライしてみたいと思います。ヤンニョムは甘辛をチョイスしましたがイメージ通りで食べやすかったです。 チーズボールは、外は少し甘いモチモチ食感、中は少し塩気のとろとろチーズのバランスが面白くてこちらも美味しかったです...
