WOHOO great ramen!
Dont get me wrong. Tokushima classic shoyu tonkotsu ramen with raw egg is all good, but this one is in another level. Especially if you are living in japan and getting tired with 'normal' salt (shio), soy sauce(shoyu), pork broth (tonkotsu), fermented soybean (miso) ramen.
They specialized on seafood base ramen. Their recommended menu is sea bream ramen, with arugula, spring onion, and fried sea bream skin topping. It has it distinct umami, but without greasy taste (like tonkotsu/pork broth does). I don't know how they can retain seafood richness without any overpowering fishy smell.
You can also try other ramen like asari (clam), uni (sea urchin), aburi mentai (grilled cod roe), and even awabi (abalone) ramen. Other than ramen they also have gyoza, pizza, and rice. You can also ask for zosui (porridge) service after you finish your noodle, they will put rice on your leftover soup.

Read moreAll i can say is this is the best ramen in town. Language will be a small barrier but if you add an extra effort you will try their amazing ramen. I came here 2 days in a row and my favourite one is this butter and clam ramen.
It was delicious, butter and broth completely made me crazy, even the original taishio ramen didnt smell fishy at all. I am amazed
Price is normal if you only buy ramen, but you might dont wanna missed their additional fried lotus root. Love their salad on kaarage too!! If i have a chance to tokushima again, i am absolutely will come...
