プティ・コトン — Restaurant in Tokyo

This place, please hear me out, is everything I dislike about restaurants in Japan. The owners are nice, but food is not. It's a nice place managed by a couple, but they surely have a lot of attitude and don't know about food. Don't get me wrong : the dinner wasn't "bad", but to me it was the same stuff you got at a "nanjatta furenchi" in the 1980s or currently at a cheap family restaurant just in a nicer dish. The appetizers were nothing extraordinary, just small and pretty, but with no taste. Soup just from the can (a bit more watery though). The main dish was just an overboiled piece of meat with a "denigurassu" sauce also tasting like from the can (Campbell, Knorr or Ajinomoto) the dessert was just like the heurs d'oeuvres, tasteless and pretty-foreign-looking displayed on a dish. Their "cinnamon pudding" was a joke Coffee.... don't get me started. It's not expensive though and given the location it caters to upper middle class clients who probably went to France once with an organized tour, eating in places for tourists and returning with a false belief about food. Dulcis in fundo, their credit card machine does not give you a receipt unless you agree to get it by email (sure, next time). This two owners are nice people blissfully unaware...

My wife and I go to this restaurant at regular intervals. Local people who live around Eifuku area love to go there. Most dishes taste terrific. I would like to recommend you when you come to Eifuku-cho. In addition we can bring our own favourite wine...

予約無しでランチに利用。

料理の提供に40分ほどかかった。 お酒を飲みながらゆっくり食べるようなコンセプトなのかな。 スープもなかなか出てこなかった。 混んでいたわけでもないので不思議というか、少し残念だった。

鴨のコンフィは外はパリッとしているものの、 中はほろりと崩れる柔らかさで、 チキンにはない鴨の香りとしっかりとした身の質感が美味しかった。 ソースも複雑な味わいで美味でした。

お店の雰囲気がくだけた感じなので、 お値段は少し高めな気もしたが、味...
