BREAD BOARD — Restaurant in Tokyo

It's a tiny bakery with a limited range of baked goods. But their pain de campagne and simple rye bread are both quite good. Probably, not as good as the authentic ones in France and other countries in Europe. But considering the disadvantage fact of high humidity in Japan they're making a good effort. As our family consume a large selection of cheese and cured meat almost everyday, this is one of our favourite staple bakeries in the city. It's a shame they close at 18:30 pm sharp. Mostly on weekdays my work prevents me from arriving before their closing time. Still, I do understand their situation because they need to rest early in order to bake oven fresh breads...

店主の方はさぞ色んな美味しいものを食べてきたんだろうな、と思わされるパンの味。どのパンを食べても美味しい。味が複雑で、奥行きがあって、心に染み入る健康な味。毎日でも食べたいと思う。名店です。

リピーターです。 ご夫婦でやってらっしゃるようで、とても気さくで素敵な方々です。 こちらのいちじくのパンと、デニッシュが大好きです。 いちじくのパンは、自家製酵母の旨みといちじくの素朴な甘味が最高で、噛むたびに幸せが広がります。 デニッシュは、フルーツとカスタードと生地のバランスが絶妙で、時間が経ってから食べてもパリッと食感が残っており、いつもマストでゲットしています。 近くで用事があると必ず立ち寄ります。 夕方はほぼ売り切れてしまうことが多いので、ランチの時間帯あたりが種...
