Bronco Billy — Restaurant in Tokyo

For some reason, I thought you could get burgers at this place, but the closest thing I could find was a hamburger steak. I misread the price, and expected to pay a lot more but I saved myself about 10 bucks in the end. The music is 1950s/60s, so it might not be for everyone. Sizzling steaks carted to your table, complimentary egg swirl soup to warm you up, endless salad bar -- it was worth the 45 minute walk from my hotel. Google says it was 36 minutes, but they obviously use Olympic medalists to set their time standards.

Bronco Billy's vaguely rings a bell from my childhood, but the salad bar was the real reason I wanted to visit. I haven't seen a salad bar in decades - they're banned in my hometown. Came for lunch at 12:15 on a public holiday and the place was packed. Waited around 20 mins before being able to get a seat. Ordered the steak set which includes rice, soup and salad bar for 1500 yen including tax. The salad bar was very decent considering the costs - also includes coffee jelly, almond tofu and some fruits. Busy but not too long of a wait. Staff was very energetic and worked hard to hed our food out. It was hot and delicious! I loved the salad bar and the coffee jelly.
