Bubba Gump Shrimp LaLaport Toyosu — Restaurant in Tokyo

Walked in on a Thursday night for a family vacation dinner. Asked for a window table. Saw two available with Reserved signs. Hostess denied us a table next to window. After 5 minutes two more tables opened up by the window, I asked again and was politely declined again. I ate dinner looking at four empty tables (not all reserved) next to the window; kinda disappointed for that. The waitress suggested I order the Tokyo special plate with ribs and sushi. Then asked with wasabi or without. Of course I want the Wasabi. Didn’t taste any Wasabi and advised the waitress later that there was no Wasabi in my sushi. This isn’t my first sushi order and I am confident I know what Wasabi tastes like. The rest of the food was great. Kids enjoyed their pasta and burger kid meals. Refillable Coke Zero is always my favorite. Wife ate the Jumbalaya and I enjoyed a few bites of the spicey shrimp, sausage, and rice plate as well. I wanted to add some souvenir purchases to the ticket and call it a night. No shirts in XXXL size caused me to pass on purchasing cool shirts. I was able to buy the wife a shot glass and a tshirt so that was nice. Then the charges came to my credit card; purchase at the shop (no problem 35usd), and billed twice for dinner (hoping one of the charges will drop off when someone realizes the error) maybe I have to call Amex to get the duplicate charge removed for our food (about 75 usd). Overall, I was denied a window seat for no obvious reason, food was okay, the shop carried a limited amount of items, and the billing will have to be monitored for mistakes in the future. Wow… what a fantastic experience! Your Assistant General Manager Abe-san was simply remarkable! We dined with you for lunch on Monday (26/2) and again for dinner tonight (28/2) and both visits were outstanding. The staff were great, but he in particular went over and above on both occasions to ensure we had an exceptional experience, and delivered on both occasions! The food was of the usual high standard, generous portions, full of flavour and thoroughly delicious, made all the better by the service we received! We detoured on the way home from a day at Disneyland today specially as we enjoyed our earlier experience so much. He remembered us as we walked in, sat us at a great window overlooking the water and even offered us a much appreciated local menu desert (and something we wouldn’t have usually chosen), Matcha Bread Pudding, complete with a personalised “Welcome to Japan” message written in chocolate around the plate. We love Bubba Gump’s after discovering the restaurant in Hawaii many years ago, and given that we aren’t lucky enough to have any in Australia, we always seek one out when holidaying anywhere near one for a “fix”. I’ve never experienced such a high level of service at one before, or at any restaurant as a first time diner for that matter… just remarkable… a huge “Thank You” from the five of us!

I had the absolute pleasure of being served by Aisha at Bubba Gump’s in Toyosu LaLaport, and I can say without hesitation that she delivered the best service I’ve ever experienced at any restaurant, anywhere. From the moment I was seated, Aisha made me feel genuinely welcome with her warm smile, infectious energy, and sincere attention to detail.

She went above and beyond in every way to make sure my visit was not just good - but truly memorable. Whether it was making sure my drinks were always full, perfectly timing the arrival of each dish, or simply checking in with kindness and care, Aisha made it clear that she genuinely cares about her guests' happiness.

What stood out most was her natural ability to make me feel like more than just a customer. It felt like I was being hosted by a friend - one who loves what she does and takes real pride in making others smile. Her passion, professionalism, and positive spirit are rare and remarkable.
