Mansoor-san’s Restaurant in Kami-Itabashi – A Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience!

If you’re ever in Kami-Itabashi, don’t miss the chance to visit Mansoor-san’s restaurant. It’s truly a rare gem run entirely by one incredibly kind-hearted and welcoming chef – Mansoor-san himself.

My husband and I visited for the first time after seeing a review on Facebook. We were curious but skeptical. To our amazement, the reality exceeded all expectations! For just 400 yen, we were served a jumbo-sized platter – something you won’t find anywhere else in the world. The food was delicious and made with genuine love and care.

When we mentioned it was my husband’s birthday, Mansoor-san surprised us with a wonderful cake. His thoughtfulness made our day even more memorable.

Even though Mansoor-san is quite popular on social media and has appeared on television, he remains incredibly humble. He personally takes care of each and every guest, making you feel more like a friend than a customer.

A kind request to future visitors:

Please consider ordering as many drinks as you can. While the food is unbelievably affordable, drinks are one of the main income sources for the restaurant. They never pressure you to order them, but it’s a great way to show support for someone with such a generous heart.

This isn’t just a meal – it’s a memory you’ll cherish. Highly, highly...

Portions were HUGE!! Definitely a great place to hang out with friends over a drink and some good food. It's a nice neighbourhood Izakaya, only a 30 minute commute from our hotel in Shinjuku, which felt like nothing to be honest; an odd 10 or so minutes each on two train lines and another 10 minute walk.

The place was packed when we got there around 7pm, but a family of 4 let us know they'd be leaving soon so we waited outside.

The karage had a mountain of salad (which we were thankful for, not having had our vege fix in a while) with a pile of karage. The yakisoba had an abundance of veges as well as meat on it as well, they didn't skimp on any ingredients. And the omurice was flavorful and cheesy as well - our friend there with us mentioned it was at least 4x the size of the omurice he ordered elsewhere in Tokyo!

Owners were friendly, food was in great portions, delicious and came in a timely manner, it was a great experience overall! Even though its a bit out of the way, we would definitely come back again if we are in Tokyo!

What isn’t there to love about this place. They are the cheapest while also giving you the craziest size portion. If you want to come here I recommend to come when the restaurant opens or a little before because it gets very crowded. The owner is the nicest man you’ll ever meet. He even remember me from over a year ago when I first got here. I recommend only to order one dish per person as it’s so big you most likely won’t even finish just one! 10/10 best restaurants in Japan! Total for 2 items of food and 3 drinks was...
