Daikoku Sushi — Restaurant in Tokyo

I went with my fiancé to this sushi restaurant to have a date night while on our trip to Japan with friends. While the atmosphere of the place was really authentic and the service was quite quick, the food that we got did not really match the rest of our experience. We had visited several izakayas in the area previously with friends, and the nigiri and sushi they served as a side, or as an add-on to a meal, was better than what we got here. Other places had better, fresher, tastier cuts of fish; and better service. I don't just mean speed. The chef here was not very talkative at all, did not seem very kind in the least, and really just seemed to want us to leave in general, maybe so he could clean up and go to bed? But it was early, and we were still 45 minutes from closing and wanting to order more food. If you are a foreign visitor, and want to have some local sushi, I would probably say to go elsewhere for a better reception, better food, and cheaper prices.
