Demode Heaven Fussa — Restaurant in Tokyo

Demode Heaven had a nice atmosphere as a larger place in Fussa with enough room for a group. The service was average for a Japanese restaurant, but below what I've seen from other places in town so far in that the staff seemed politely disinterested, but took my order and brought out my food and check quickly. They had around 7 people between servers and kitchen serving myself and one other table at 4 pm.

Unfortunately, these were the high points of my experience because the pizza I tried (the Heaven Mix, which seemed to be their version of a supreme) was strange. The toppings included corn, apparently absent or very watery tomato sauce, and very gristly pork belly that resulted in quite a bit of extra chewing. The crust looked great and the dough used was delicious; however, it was thinner than New York style in the center which lost integrity quickly from moisture, and the flavor of the charred portions was that they hadn't cleaned the oven in a while instead of wood-fired. They provide customers with infused chili oil, which further broke down the integrity of the middle crust in my case. Customers might be better served using dried red chili flakes if available or skipping the spicier option.

Great pizza restaurant. I like some of their pizzas, especially teriyaki chicken. Their fried chicken was terrible though I would stay away from it. I feel like if I gave a piece to my dog, he would not eat it... If you have tables to chose from, stay as close to the entrance as possible.
