I come here once in a while for lunch because there is not much else close by that will serve in time. The lunch specials are decent for the price, but they are mostly sauce in the curry. The curry is way too spicy. The regular is like most places level 3. The first time, I ordered 1 step up and felt I could almost not eat it because of the heat, so have I stuck to regular since.
I saw they had lamb chops. The picture shown was not what I got. I am guessing it was mutton, but it was not a chop cut. Idk what cut it was. They were very thin and tough. I had trouble getting the bone shards out. To top it off, it was covered in red chili/curry sauce. It's almost impossible to eat it was way too spicey. The photos they showed had nothing on them, so I wasn't expecting that. I would never buy that again.
I also wanted the pannier pakora, but after 2 bites, I left the plate. Paneer is one of my favorite things. This dish looked nothing like the photo or any other paneer Pakora I have had. It is supposed to be mostly breaded fried cheese. But I think they were being cheap and mixed it with curry seasonings and other vegetables. The Paneer was diced into small pieces where you got almost none, and the paneer in it was hard and chewy and not nice. It mostly tasted of the breading and yellow curry that filled it. You couldn't taste the panner it wasnt chucks of paneerlike the photo and how it should be. They also paired it with ketchup, not green sauce like the photo. These are clearly not their photos, but maybe stock photos of Indian food.
I ordered samosas, and they cut them in half and paired them with ketchup. The samosas were good, but I have never had a place cut them in half. The photo they have it wasn't cut. Idk who pairs them with ketchup, either.
The mango Lasse is good, but don't trust their menu photos.
When I came and ordered a full-size portion of butter chicked, there was still not much there, not worth the price. They are very stingy on the chicken, and it was spicier than most butter chicken. People are posting that it is the "best," but I have had better a quite a few other places. It is mediocre, and I think the reviews are so high because they're right outside the gate.
I will probably stick to the lunch specials from now on. There are much better tasting indian restaurants around here. They also seem to always look annoyed that people are there. It's like they throw down your food and walk away, so it's not that...
Read moreI've come here many times and got food, no problem.
i ordered takeout, they took 17 minutes to start the food after I told them what's taking so long because the restaurant was completely empty.
I was in a rush to bring my girlfriend food before I go to work.
I told them nicely and they said 5 minutes. they looked mad that I needed them to rush, and after 22 minutes of waiting I got 6 pieces of chicken.
I don't know what happened but my girlfriend was admitted to the hospital for gastroenteritis after eating their food. "Hilarious" coincidence.
The whole 17 minutes they wasted my time talking to each other and watching TV....
Read moreI LOVED this place. I can't even tell you how many times i've ate here within last three years. However, i was eating my curry and found this super long hair in my food. I chewing my food watching TV and i felt a hair in my mouth. Once i started pulling it out, it just kept coming and coming until i saw a strand not even exaggerating easily 7 inches long. This was was the 2nd time this happened to me. The first time this happened was a few months ago and i haven't ate there since... until today. I figured to give them a second chance but this is wild. I wouldn't be surprised if other aspects of their hygiene standards...
