Denny's Shinjuku Yamabukicho — Restaurant in Tokyo

For Americans visiting Japan and expecting a typical Denny's experience, it's important to note that the Denny's chain in Japan caters to Japanese cuisine and lifestyle. (2023年3月12日訪問) 目玉焼きが乗ったデミグラスハンバーグを久々に。

日曜19:54に息子と2人で訪問。店内は、8割方の席が埋まっている状況。デニーズ、人気なんですね。

昼にビール2杯を飲んでいたこともあり、ここではビール1杯だけに。プレモルの生が、アプリクーポン利用で100円引きの480円になりました。

息子はビーフハンバーグステーキ(200g) を、私は目玉焼きの乗ったデミグラスハンバーグを注文。何か、私の注文の方が子供みたいですね(笑)。

目玉焼きの乗ったデミグラスハンバーグは、私にとってはソウルフードみたいなものなんです。子供の頃ファミレスで食べた、古き良き思い出。今の言葉で言うとカスタマーエクスペリエンス。

思い出とオーバーラップする味が、そこにはありました。

(2023年2月18日訪問) デニーズの居酒屋利用 2回目

土曜12:20に4名で訪問。待たずにすぐ着席できました。店内は8割くらいの入りだったかな。

特に、飲もうという強い気持ちがあったわけではなかったのですが、モバイルアプリに、プレモル、角ハイボール、レモンサワーの割引クーポンがあることに気づき、「これは使わねば」という気持ちになりました(笑)。

私だけ居酒屋のように注文。あとの3人は普通にファミレス利用です。

私は、次のような感じで注文しました。

1杯目：プレミアムモルツ (割引クーポン) ＋ ベーコンとほうれん草 (割引クーポン) 2杯目：角ハイボール (割引クーポン) ＋ ローストビーフ 3杯目：こだわり酒場レモンサワー (割引クーポン) ＋ なすとほうれん草のおろし和え

角ハイボールにはレモンが入っており、まるでレモンサワーにウイスキーが混じっているみたいでした。でも私は正直、角ウイスキーってあんまり好きではないので、レモンが前面に出てくれてちょうど良かったです。

上記に加え、私はモバイルクーポンで「バースデーデザート」というものをいただきました。これは、無料なんですね。ありがたいです。

上記以外の写真は、すべて家族が「ファミレス枠」で注文したものとなります。

会計時に「バースデー20%OFFクーポン」というものを使い、会計全体が2割引きに。もともとの会計金額 7170円が、なんと5736円まで減額されました。凄い…。

1月4日20:45頃に家族3名で訪問。待たずにすぐ入れました。

家族用にはファミレス。わたし用には飲み屋。デニーズで、そういう折衷ができるんですね。

私は、以下のアルコールとおつまみを注文。

・ サントリー・ザ・プレミアム・モルツ ＋ 鶏唐揚げ (アプリクーポンを利用すると、この組み合わせが810円でした。) ・ 知多ハイボール ＋ ポテトフライ (ポテトフライは、娘と一緒に食べました。) ・ 翠 ジンソーダ ＋ なすとほうれん草のおろし和え

知多ハイボールが飲めるって、結構ちゃんと、飲み屋っぽくないですか？...

This used to be one of our favorite places but I am dropping it to 1 star after getting food poisoning here. We ordered one of those Hamburg sets, and couple hours after it, I spent the whole night vomiting and next two days with fever-like symptoms. I think one experience like that is one-too-many already.
