I was walking to the Kusama Museum on holiday for my first time in Japan and stumbled across the coffee shop attached to the museum in retreat from the crazy heat outside. Not only was I astonished at the quality of the coffee but also noted the museum itself for a destination on the way back from the Kusama Museum. When the day came to this, I was pleasantly surprised! The audio guide (available for free and in English!!!) is amazing. Read moreThis was much better than I expected! The museum is well organized and informative. The audio guides are in various languages, and was awesome and free. You get a little coupon for the cafe, so we got some tea and cake which was nice too. I really liked seeing the first editions of his books, and the recreation of his work space. In the basement, there was a library and they had a few of his books in English too. Also, I liked that they planted a few trees and plants he liked, like a banana tree. Maybe the only one in Tokyo lol. Anyways, I learned a lot and enjoyed it so much. I went away wanting to read more...

Weakness: You can not read the dark side of Soseki especially his life in UK, anguish of financial hardness due to step parents, how he skipped his military duty and so on.
