Great hotel but need some improvement. Stay here for 2 nights in the junior suite. Very spacious, European style antique furniture. But some improvements need for the room like need some more cleaning on the ceiling fan inside the toilet. Some wallpaper comes out, some paint chipped and some black mark in some area from the wall and the ceiling. Hopefully they can speed up the construction to make their rooms looks better before the Olympics. There is 1 English channel CNN but most of the time speak Japanese override the English speaking which may not be good for the foreigners. The sofa and the bed is very comfortable and firm. Also there is a floor lamp underneath the small desk or cabinet chess between 2 beds which is a very Great feature when you need to go to the toilet at night without open the main light to interfere other people sleeping. For location wise. Is a bit far from the train station about 10 minutes waking. But there is shuttle service to and from takadonobaba station every 30 minutes and is free. Although the location is a bit far but you will definitely enjoy the silence of the hotel. 1 one thing which really impressed me is the exceptional hospitality one on one service from point A to point B. 1 of the staff greet us to do the check in process while we are offered to sit in front the reception desk. After the check in. The staff use the trolley to push out luggage into our room and also explain some detail on the room and wheres the emergency exit and so on...... I really like to say Thank You to Tanaka 田中. She even remember us on the next day and greet us with smile. I should give a thumb up. Other staffs are very nice and especially the hotel maids are very polite to greet you. For communication. I can feel that the staffs has putting their effort to speak with us in English therefore English speaking is not an issue at all. Our room is facing or most of the suites are facing the waseda garden which is own by the waseda university. We did walk thru the garden and looks very nice peaceful and quiet. Finished trying the breakfast. Lots of variety both Japanese and western. Food still maintain at least warm. There is coffee machine with a few choices of coffee. Best food for the breakfast is the omettle and...

Rihga Royal is a 4 star Hotel located near Waseda and Takadanobaba stations in Tokyo.Relatively small hotel with 12 storeys and roughly 20 rooms per floor But this meant that the double room was amazingly spacious at sitting at 33sqm. It was a treat. It had a old imperial Japan kind of feel and although amenities and furnishing were on the older side it gave the hotel a distinct feel which was unique. Closest station was Waseda at 800m away but they had a free shuttle service roughly every 20mins to Takadanobaba station taking about 10mins and also had 2 lines connected to it which was pretty convenient. Front desk was not a desk but rather 3 separate tables which definitely felt worthy of 4 stars and the staff had very good english so no Japanese was required. The shuttlebus was so convenient and ran late into the night with the last bus leaving Takadanobaba at 1040pm which gave ample time to explore Tokyo. Room was very comfortable and although the bathroom didnt come with separate shower and tub space it was large enough not to notice. The breakfast spread was a mix of Japanese and Western cuisine and they had this amazing french toast that had a piece of parmesan cheese on it and then blow torched to perfection it was pretty damn amazing. Running at ¥2000 per person it was cheaper than booking breakfast together with the room. Overall although it was more expensive than a 4 star hotel room in other prefectures SGD $200 was a reasonable amount given that I booked it for the weekend and it...

Came to this hotel for two reasons. Have lunch and take a swim in their pool. This hotel is inside the perimeter of the Waseda University in Tokyo, and it has a very solid reputation. There is an elegance to it, every corner exudes quality. Of the several, excellent dining options here, had lunch at the Chinese restaurant Royal Ryuho. Menu offers a few specialties that include dumplings and dessert. Went for deep fried noodles with mixed vegetables as the main dish. First, the dumplings were excellent, they will melt in your mouth. The noodles were perfectly prepared, the variety of mushrooms and vegetables in a very flavourful sauce. Dessert was a tapioca, milky, mildly sweet delicacy. Service impeccable, and prices very acceptable considering the quality of the dishes, and the location itself. The restaurant actually overlooks the very famous Okuma garden, which even in the Fall, is gorgeous.

After a walk in the garden, went upstairs to the pool area. There is a consistent theme at the hotel: facilities are what you would expect at a luxury hotel, and the staff is perfectly trained to make sure you are well taken care. Within the pool area you have showers, a warming room, a jacuzzi, etc. A floor below you will find changing rooms, showers and a sauna. There is also a well equipped gym. Access to these facilities is limited to guests staying at the hotel, members of the fitness club and...
