Forest — Restaurant in Tokyo

Cafe Forest is an unassuming cafe, but once you taste the food, you realize its value. We ordered the fruit crepe with orange, the classic pancake, and the perilla shiso toast. It was served in succession, toast first, then pancake, and saving the best (fruit crepe) for last. Taking one bite of the pancake, it was the tastiest, most succulent I’ve had in a long time. It’s a simple western style, contrasting the soufflé pancake common here in Japan.

The fruit crepe was a masterpiece. Beautiful presentation, simple, yet delicious. The ice cream pairs really well with the orange reduction sauce, and the textures all match well. It was the most delicious crepe, and very unexpected culinary expertise from such a quaint cafe.

I got a cold brew coffee and it is not too bitter, and not too smooth. I think it is just how I like it.

I give it five stars because the interior is nice as well as the people. The price is inexpensive, and justified for the quality of ingredients as well as fantastic...

夏の間に再度訪問したいと思っており、お店の夏休み明け早々に訪問。 注文したのは中深煎り・深煎りのコーヒーと、季節限定・桃のあんみつ、珈琲ゼリー。

私は元来ブラックがあまり飲めないのだけど、豆がいいこと(同じ中板橋にある杉綾珈琲店の豆)・こちらのはフレンチプレスで抽出されていることから、最後までとてもおいしくいただけるのが不思議。初めていただいたときあまりに感動して、フレンチプレスを買おうかなと思ったほど。

桃のあんみつは、デーツあんこがヘルシーでうれしい。 杏仁シロップもおいしくて、残ったシロップもコーヒーの口休めにとすべていただいてしまった。

コーヒーゼリーはトッピングのクッキー・ラムレーズンアイスも非常においしく、かなり好みの味。

本棚にある本・雑誌のセレクトも絶妙。 そこまで混んでいないので、追加注文を依頼されることもなく、1時間以上滞在しても放っておいてくれるのがありがたい。

何度来ても...

アイスカフェラテと、チーズテリーヌを注文しました。 どちらも本当に美味しかったのでおすすめです！！

ですが..... 待ち時間が結構長く感じました^^; 注文してから30分以上は待ったと思います。 注文を受けてから作っているのかは分かりませんが、お会計も作業中にレジに来られると大変だからか「お席でお待ちください〜！」と言われている方もいました。

ですがとっても美味しかったのでまた伺います！！

【2025年】 美味しかったので2度目の訪問をしました。 注文後、ケーキを待ってる間早々に店員さんにもう少し声を大きくしないようにと注意されました.....。

あまり大きい声で話してなかったのですが.... なんなら他の人と同じくらいだと思いますが....

ここに来るならかなり小声で話さないといけないみたいです。 ケーキが美味しかったのでまた来ようと思い来ました...
