Ignore all the exaggerated reviews about how good it is here. If you're someone who's had good burgers in their life, this burger is average and nothing more. Yes, it's tasty, but it's really, really not worth it. I've never encountered such messy, slow, and terrible service. We ordered two burgers, mine arrived after 50 minutes, and when we asked what about the second burger we ordered, they only started making it then. My burger and fries arrived cold, and we asked for the second burger without pickles, and let me tell you, we weren't surprised when it arrived with pickles anyway. By the way, the table that ordered 20 minutes before us still hadn't received all of their dishes and we had already left the restaurant. Just plain awful. Messy. And really, really, really not worth the money, which is already expensive for no good reason, and of course we weren't surprised when we didn't get compensation for the worst service we've ever gotten in Japan. Oh, and the portion is small, you get less than 10 pieces of potato when you order fries. In short, we went to eat pizza after the restaurant. And something we didn't know before, is that it's a Muslim restaurant and there were a lot of Muslim customers, which is fine but it wasn't the atmosphere we...
Read moreI had the absolute pleasure of dining at Japanese Wagyu Steak & Burger Shinjuku Beef Restaurant 5W-Tokyo, and I can confidently say — this was the best Wagyu burger I’ve ever had!
From the moment I walked in, the warm, inviting atmosphere and friendly staff set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The attention to detail was top-notch, and the fact that everything is Halal-certified made the experience even more enjoyable and inclusive.
Now, let’s talk about the Wagyu burger — juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Every bite melted in my mouth. The meat was rich and buttery, with just the right amount of seasoning to let the high-quality Wagyu truly shine. The bun was soft yet sturdy, complementing the burger perfectly. Paired with crispy fries and a refreshing drink, it was a satisfying, memorable meal from start to finish.
Whether you’re a Wagyu lover, looking for a great Halal option, or just exploring Tokyo’s food scene, this gem in Shinjuku is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in Japan. Highly...
Read moreSakura, our hostess, welcomed us warmly when we arrived. We were slightly confused as there was no display of the name Godaime anywhere at the entrance.
Upon entry, the ambience was very pleasant and quiet. Sakura went through the history of the restaurant and its ways of sourcing, preparing and serving the beef. That was an eye opener and it added our appreciation on what came on the plates. Wagyu steak, cooked well-done and a wagyu burger combo was the order. That came with a glass of soft drink, french fries, a bowl of miso soup and an additional bowl of rice as a side.
Though the steak was made well-done, it remained tender, juicy and full of taste. The burger was succulent with the mustard just slight, not overpowering.
Overall it was more than a meal. It was an experience. The team worked so hard on what they do. Each one of them gave their utmost. Sakura is sweet and honest. She is the star of the place.
The place if definitely worth the search whenever you need a meal...
