It's location! It is less than 1 minute walk to the small building BYGS across. From there you can use the escalator down to the subway instead of walking down stairs. I have bad knees and all those stairs caused me pain. Shinjuku is a well connected area with the subway. The travel time is not too long also. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The best is Isetan with its foodhall. When I arrived with heavy bags I walked through the basement foodhall after exiting the subway, taking in all the beautifully made snacks and smells. Then I used their lifts to get to road level and move along streets to the hotel. Easy. No need to lug heavy bags up stairs.|I had a booking for earlier but had a change in plans. The hotel is very flexible. They allowed me to cancel for free and rebook even though my original booking was less than 24 hours to check in and had passed the free cancellation time. Thank you!|The room was standard in this price range and with the usual amenities; fridge, kettle, tv, slippers, toiletries... At the reception are there is a microwave and free tea and coffee.|I would come back again although I would hope for it to do some renovations and upgrades. The hotel has seen better days.|There are stairs leading to the hotel. They should try to build a ramp although yes the space is tight. The walls are thin and so I could hear people moving about early in the morning. The door is metal and so also made more noise. I used ear plugs after the first night...
Read moreIts reasonable price offers a cozy stay at a convenient location. The closest metro exit with the elevator is C6, the opposite to exit 8. A perfect fit for a short stay but not a long one as there are inadequate spacing inside the room and the facilities are old.
Don’t miss the extension cord of electricity and Wifi password inside the room. The capacity of the fridge is limited and able to store one 600 ml bottles drink plus some desserts only.
The front desk staff can improve their attitude and please don’t say the stairs at the hotel’s entrance is not a big deal to the traveller. Not everyone can take their heavy luggage easily. The rude attitude lowers...
Read moreThere are no information that there are some steps at the entrance, with my heavy luggage i have to carry all of them by myself (i thought the lobby is 1F) but it’s 1.5F, the area is not so bad with all bars around. It’s quite convenient to choose which station to go by 10 minutes walk distance. The hotel is quite old so all the facilities such as air-con / bath tub / toilet are old version of technology.Wifi is good here if you want to work.Would recommend place to people who travel light and...
