Good People & Good Coffee — Restaurant in Tokyo

I was looking for coffee place in the neighborhood I’m staying and stumbled across this place while exploring. Despite some negativity posted here, I found my experience to be very pleasant & my coffee beverages to be outstanding. The barista was polite and explained his English was limited—that did not deter me—I did my best to communicate on my poor Japanese/English. We ordered the Iced Nutella Latte and Iced Honey Latte, which we enjoyed so much, I returned on a few occasions. The iced coffee was excellent, very refreshing on a humid summer day. I also wanted to try something different and ordered a coffee jelly latte—served in a brandy snifter—very cool. Very refreshing and not sweet—it was something different.

Seating is limited—a small outdoor table and a couple of folding chairs—and maybe a few benches inside—our stay was brief after getting our order—long enough to enjoy our beverages. I loved the hanging Chucks on the pipe outside of the business.

The decor was music themed, various music displays—CDs, vinyls, artwork, throwback stuff; Beastie Boys was blasting in the shop—definitely a cool vibe.

Please note there is a 1 drink, 1 seat policy…so if want to hangout with friends, everyone must purchase a beverage. Nonetheless, I will miss this place when I...

Unfriendly to people who want a moment to chill out using their devices and caffeine up. He wants the world to know that this isn’t a place for work.

When he saw my laptop he thought I’d stay in there for hourrrrrrs. It’s not a space to work and I could tell from the get-go. I just asked if I can use a table so I can quickly do something and saw that a crowd of people came in who would take over the cafe waiting for their order.

He tried to speak in English, which showed kind effort. However overall this was a very unfriendly and rude interaction. I already understood his concern but he didn’t have to approach me again after 5mins. I dont know whats going on here. I ordered a flat white, he made it so fast (a good thing) and I got this, no creaminess just bitter. 😂😭 thought its a good coffee place so i ordered flat white. should just have gotten latte for safe bet 😅 550 yen gone and wont be back. i had one shot in a good caffeine per day so I am quite disappointed. also no cookies or sweets or any food! also for people who are sensitive to smoking, this is not the place for you. people have cigarettes at outdoor seating with front door open. tiny place but not to stay for long. if you do they request for orders...
