Hidakaya — Restaurant in Tokyo

Solid consistent eatery in Itabashi. Ordering is very simple here, even if you are foreign. There is a tablet system with language settings that is simple to understand. The food is tasty, the taste is consistent (we have dined here several times during our stay) and the staff is prompt and helpful (even with take out when I didn't understand the takeout menu that was completely in Japanese). We enjoyed the ramen, specifically I liked the spicy roast pork ramen (not too many spicy options, so I was happy to find one). My husband liked the dry noodles and we enjoyed the dumplings (looks like they sometimes sell them frozen to the public, currently they are not) the stir fry dishes were tasty as well. They have a dish that is a medium well cooled omelette over rice with a slightly sweet/sour sauce, this reminder me of a childhood comfort food (no Japanese connection, but here I was reminiscing) so I really enjoyed that flavor combination.
