Located a brisk 10 min walk from Sengawa station, J'arrive is a charming cafe run by 2 sisters who have been baking cakes & sweets for over 11 years. They recently moved location and now there is ample space for eat-in, and a lovely terrace area to enjoy in the upcoming warmer weather. 🪑🌸

Visiting for the first time I was surprised by the wide range of goodies on display - everything from cookies, scones, puddings to galette, madeleine, cannele, financier, choux creme were available. 😯

I decided to go for the seasonal chocolate tart to take out and vowed to return and try the other yummy-looking products. 😤

Coming in 2 layers, the bottom consisted of a walnut brownie, while on top of this was a thick chocolate cream. 🤤

Combined together with the tart pastry, this gave it a complex texture of crunchy, chewy, smooth and rich. It wasn't too sweet and would definitely be popular with both adults & children alike. 🧐

With a warm hospitality, high quality baked goods and a hidden location, this is one of the best kept secrets in Sengawa and another great cake shop to add to the many others already in the area. 💯

I will definitely be back to try their other delights! 👌🏼

We’ve been to Sengawa area a lot, but first time to find this cafe. Very small inside, but cozy. We had a bagel sandwich, Monblanc, and milk crepe(probably daily cake) and Vanilla tea and cafe latte. A bagel was small, but very very delicious. Definitely visit...

ここの店主はこの建物のオーナーの姪だかなんだかで、他の方が書いている通り、オープンする際の工事のときの挨拶もなく、非常に愛想も常識もない店主のようです。私もオープンしてから一年後に一度訪れましたが、焼き菓子を購入した際まだ幼児の息子が店内で尿意を催したので、イートインスペースもあるのでおトイレをお借りできないか聞いたところ、店員が一回店内の誰か(たぶん店主)に聞いてきて言ったのが「今日はちょっとダメですね」という言葉。イートインスペースありますよね？そしたらトイレとかは併設されますよね？と聞いたところ、そこは食べても良いですよっていう場所で喫茶店と違うので。という答えが。 一応客として商品も購入し、子どもが尿意を催したということを伝えたのですが、あまりの非情さに驚きました。どんなに商品が良くてもここで買うことは2度とないなと決心した次第です。 ここで子どもとお菓子を作るワークショップ等もやってたようですがそれもビックリです。 お菓子を作ってる途中で尿意をもよおしても、急いで実篤記念館のトイレまで駆け込まなくてはな...
