Kaikatsu CLUB Hachioji — Restaurant in Tokyo

What a let down after Akihabara branch. While it is about 30% cheaper plus you get access to the recreation facilities (you pay extra at Akihabara) the sleeping facilities are inferior. How so? No private rooms, all are 70% height walls. For cleanliness standards could be improved, but not terrible. WC smelled of  urine. Unheated toilet seats and no bum spray.

Only advantages that interested me were the food  (free thick white bread toast w/ margarine, only in the morning) and drink (including 'pu er' fermented green tea, plus real orange juice) and the location right downton near discount department store Don Quixote plus a moderately-priced cafe and many restaurant m

Minuses...

My major complaint is the lower standard design and older construction, so its noisy. Non-enforcement of using provided slippers means patrons walk on hard floors with shoes on; unavoidable loud noise of  sliding of doors (I was an auditory menace myself); supposed phone cubicle being used with door open, etc.  It's like sleeping in the airport.

Pluses...

Friendly staff. Cubicles are wider but shorter than Akihabara branch, lock box in 'room'. Darts room and karaoke also. Photocopy machine. Even a small semi-outdoor patio area with an Amazon box, for delivery of parcels presumably.

Conclusion: I won't return unless desperate. But I don't use 'manga kissa' as comic book leisure booths but instead as budget accommodation when I can't find a health club nearby to do same.

Clientele appears to be younger than Akihabara. Much larger percentage of females, including some young and attractive ones. No one knocked on my door...

Warning: like all such places, they are suitable for transients and temporary use such as when you miss the last train. Most everything is efficent and good value. 現在、訳あってビジネスホテルのように連泊して利用しております❗私はおそらく２０年位前から快活CLUBを利用しておりますがどこの店舗の従業員さん方もとても対応良くしてくださり個人的にとても満足しております。支払い時にちょっとしたミスがありクレームをつけた際も対応した女子従業員がとても良く受け答えしてくださりまた、不在だった店長さんにもきちんと報告してくれてその店長さんからも丁寧な謝罪並びにサービスもして戴き、一顧客としてたいへん満足いくもてなしを受けました‼️点数をつけれるのならば１２０点の出来の素晴らしいお店です……が、一生懸命働かれてる従業員さんには責任ないのですがここ八王子本店を利用してる６、７割方のユーザーの質が悪すぎる‼️『決められた場所に借りた物品を戻さない』ことから始まり『ブース内での携帯使用』、『目覚まし時計の放置』、『無料での朝、夕食の食べ残しや放置』、『トイレの利用マナーの悪さ』…等々、周辺の店舗の中では『最悪のリピーターたち』の集まりで、これでは従業員が何人いても足らなくなるくらいな状況です。空いていて従業員さんの手が回っていれば良いのですけど来店者数が多いときに初めて来られたユーザーには強烈かもしれませんね。お店自体はマンガも冊数多いですしブース内外のパソコン等も　クオリティーの高い機種を揃え、本当に素晴らしい施設です‼️八王子駅からもアクセスが良いので是非とも...
