Very expensive and some of the worst unagi I've ever had, to top it all off, the whole place smells like the sewer has backed up.

The eel is somehow both mushy and rubbery, I needed to concentrate to finish the 1 bite I took without spitting it out. The rice was over cooked. The sauce was both too sweet and salty at the same time. A complete disaster. Honestly, without exagerating, you can get far superior unagi at one of the gyudon places or even as a station lunch box.

This was my second visit to this place and it’s truly one of my favorite places to not only have unagi, but to eat in general. The ambiance is like walking into an old Japanese house, complete with a koi pond. The service is friendly and accommodating, and you can feel great care is taken in everything they do. Great Unagi restaurant in residential area of Kaminoge. Recommend a clean counter seat so that you can watch chefs in action while waiting for your gorgeous unagi to be prepared.
