This small restaurant has been in business for more than 60 years, serving sushi made by lovely old couple. The menu was very straight forward, you could order in ala carte or assortment sushi. I had the sushi jyou (上) which was a 9 pcs sushi platter that came with miso soup and otoushi (appetiser) for 1620 yen (exclude tax). The sushi was really fresh, but I must stress, the execution of sushi rice impressed me the most. The balance of vinegar and doneness of rice was just right, firm enough to hold yet I could still tasted each grain in my mouth. This is truly a skill that requires experience and precision to master, which is unlikely found in most fast-food type conveyor belt sushi restaurant.
