Small church building but big community of people (the real church) united in faith to Jesus. Love this church where I join the Holy Mass for the Christmas Eve. Warm people made me feel warm despite the cold weather. Being alone in Tokyo brought me to this church and the people were very welcoming to everyone no matter who they are. After the Christmas Eve Mass, free bread was distributed with a fellowship meal at the parish hall. Everyone was served with bread and hot vegies soup. So nice to have a Catholic community wherever I go. Thank you very much Toshima church.

It was lovely and cool with air conditioning inside (outside was approximately 33 degrees Celsius as it was summer). The Masses were well attended with a small choir section with an organ leading the singing. The welcome team gave us a hymnal (the order of the Mass in within the first few pages of the hymnal) and the weekly bulletin with the readings, prayers of the faithful and other items.
