Ohkiku Sushi — Restaurant in Tokyo

We found this place more or less by accident and I am so glad we did!

Not only is the food impeccable but the owners (family-run business) are so friendly and curious. My Japanese is basically non-existent, but with Google-translate we still managed to have a lovely conversation and didn't wanna leave.

The sushi (mainly nigiri and sashimi) is of highest quality and the chef is slicing/preparing it in front of you. You should definitely let them pick for you. The icing on the cake is how affordable it was, we paid JPY 1500 per set menu that included a sushi platter, miso soup, green tea and some pickled vegetables.

Easily one of the best sushi in Tokyo. Mr. Tatsuya san is the second generation of this small sushi spot in Toritsu Daigaku. If you wanna spend a little bit less I recommend to go for lunch where you can have an omakase course (7-8 pieces) for less than 2,000 yen.
