Pas de Deux — Restaurant in Tokyo

I had this local French restaurant saved on my Google Maps for a while and finally visited this afternoon. Ordered the special lunch set — steak with sauce — and it absolutely delivered.

The steak (likely sirloin or tenderloin) was incredibly tender, melt-in-your-mouth level. The sauce felt like a refined French base with a touch of Japanese influence — just the right amount of sweetness and balance. It was elegant without trying too hard.

The set also came with salad, soup, a light dessert, and a drink. Those extras were fine — nothing remarkable — but the main dish alone made the 3,500 yen more than worth it. For the quality of meat and the execution of the dish, it’s hard to beat. Definitely glad I...

The most delicious and soft chicken steak that I have ever had. Chicken melts in your mouth. The lunch meal comes with salad, a petit dessert, and tea/coffee afterwards. I would like to eat at the restaurant every day. Also very friendly to foreigners. The chef brought us parsley to let us know that one of the pasta is made of shrimp...

料理：全般美味しい。ビストロかと思って行くと、メニュー種類はファミレス感覚。家族で行ってもそれぞれ気にいるメニューがある。 →生牡蠣や魚介の前菜、肉料理のクオリティ高くコスパ◎ →パスタは「美味しい喫茶店」クオリティの味。普通に美味しいがイタリアンレベルではない →デザートも美味しい、適度なボリュームで良い →ワインが全般コスパ悪く、好みと全く合わない。お酒と合わせたい料理はたくさんあるが、「食べに行く」店としている。

店内： →清掃は普通レベル。細かい部分まで行き届くという印象はない。後述するがお客に対するホスピタリティが表れてる印象の清掃。 →椅子の座り心地はまぁまぁ。長居して欲しくなさそうなので、こんなものなのかも。 →冷蔵庫の音がうるさく会話に窮する座席がある。 →絵画や装飾、全体は素敵な作りの店内

接客：たくさん投稿で挙がっているが、マダムの接客（というか恐らく性格）が最悪レベル。必ず気分を害するので、その点を覚悟で行くべし。「この人はそういうものだ」と思って食事をするなら、味はそこそこ良いので、このエリアでは満足な食事ができると思う。かえすがえすも残念だが、あまりの悪さに珍しいなと面白くなってきたところ。 →デザートは追加で注文したかったが、ラストオーダー確認もなく。尋ねたところ「もう終わってますからできません」とピシャリと言われた →満腹なのでデザートを1つだけ注文、夫が食べるのに、妻側に何も聞かずに置く。フォークを追加でと頼んだら返事もせずに無言で渡される（デザートのシェアはNGなのだろうか。それならルールに書いて欲しい） →ラストオーダーギリギリの時間に入店したら、入れてはもらえたが終始感じが悪く、食べたらすぐ帰れ的なことを言われた →その後に訪問したら、ラストオーダーは何分後/閉店は何分後と釘を刺された（苦笑）
