POEM Mano A Mano Coffee — Restaurant in Tokyo

I visited around 12 and there was plenty seats, though its quite small so parties of 2 is ideal. Beautiful interior, the shopowner and the staff were very kind, and we had a good conversation, although my Japanese isn't great especially with names.

I love Purin, and theirs had a very deep, and rich caramel sauce with a unique bitterness or tartness unlike others that you would typically expect from purin, I thought it was perfect as is. It was served with a dollop of whipped cream, combined with their coffee, was a nice balance.

The coffee was robust, and would pair well with any of the desserts they have available, so you're not overwhelmed by sweetness. Particularly hot coffee is best i believe, I've heard iced coffee mulls certain flavor compounds so it is not nearly as complex with acidity and bitterness as it would if it were served hot.

I should've have stayed longer maybe to chat with them as it wasn't busy, as I'd like to learn the language better, I really appreciated their patience and had fun talking to them.

If you are looking for a melt in the mouth experience from a fruit sandwich with absolutely high quality of ingredients and great service, this is the place you should head for a breakfast or brunch. Good dessert with rude service. The waiter keeps coming over to check on you, as if urging you to leave quickly. There was obviously a table for four people, but they were not allowed us to sit there because they said there were no more chairs.(We were four , they separated us in two tables.)
