RAMEN Kikuchi — Restaurant in Tokyo

Really really solid Ogikubo ramen. The gentleness of its flavour retains from start to finish and you can tell this is a recipe that’s withstood the test of time.

The toppings were unremarkable for the most part, but what really stood out to me were the noodles. Chewy, tasty, and pairs perfectly with the soup.

One thing. lol. The shop is SO QUIET that at some points felt weird/uncomfortable. It was so quiet that I could hear my noodles boiling in the water….

I felt like I was in one of those sound chambers where you could hear your own blood coursing through your veins haha. Every slurp, smack, spoon resting against the bowl tinge can be heard. Ultimately, it didn’t detract me fully from the experience, but this shop could use some BGM...

Fantastic ramen place. I got the “white” wonton noodles (salt instead of soy sauce) and they were excellent. The only negative is the seating — there are only six seats at the bar. It doesn’t feel cramped, but it isn’t hard to imagine the place filling up fast. Maybe be prepared to wait a bit; I would say...

令和６年８月某日、初訪問です。再訪必至のおいしいお店です。 お盆を過たぎ平日、13:55入店で先客なし。お昼営業は15:00までです。直列のカウンター席のみで６席です。今日は早番でお昼ご飯を食べていない、かなり腹減った。普段はかなり少食でいつも普通のラーメンなのですが、今日は食べれるような気がする。行っちゃえラーメン大盛！！ ラーメン700円税込みに大盛100円税込み増し。ドキドキしながら着丼を待ちます。そんな待たずして着丼。おお、これはやばい！明らかに２玉はあるではないか。食べきれるかなあ？冷汗がほとばしる、いただきます。

う、う、うまい！荻窪ラーメンとのことで訪問しましたが、荻窪ラーメンです。先週、別の荻窪ラーメンのレジェンドの一つを訪問していただいたのと比較すると、マイルドな、かつ端麗な荻窪ラーメンです。濃ゆいラーメンになれてしまった方は、かなり味が薄すぎるのかもしれません。私には完全にはまりました。おいしいです。これは個人差があるのでご自身で確認してください。

物凄い麺量ありましたが何とか完食しました。おいしくなけりゃこんな量くえんわ。（少食基準）旨かった。

大将と雑談させていただきましたが、創業約17年くらいとのこと。平成の荻窪ラーメンですね。お店の雰囲気もいいし、また訪問させていただきます。ごちそうさまでした...
