This small sake bar is very minimalistic and looks like a modest little bar, but don’t get fooled, this place has the best sake’s! You can choose from the menu, have a sake flight or have an “omakase” service, where the tenant will choose for you. The food consisted in small items that paired perfectly (and sometimes surprisingly) with the drinks. But the most interesting in my opinion are the craft sake’s. A type that we knew nothing about and it was such a revelation! I really recommend all the sake lovers to go there, because those sake’s are so unique there is no way you can find them anywhere...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We’d walked past this sake bar in Koenji a few times and were always intrigued—so glad we finally went in! The atmosphere was relaxed yet beautifully designed, with a glass floor and unique touches. Kenshi-san, the host, was fantastic—warm, knowledgeable, and passionate about sake. He guided us through an amazing selection and suggested some really interesting varieties. The small food dishes were delicious, and we ended up chatting with friendly locals and travellers from around the world. A truly memorable night—highly recommend this spot to anyone...

While slightly off the beaten path, I like going to Koenji. It’s about 30 minutes from Shibuya but full of fun shops, bars and restaurants. I stumbled across this wee basement bar and it will no be on my list for future visits. Kenji is fluent in English and can guide you to what kind of sake you would like. I enjoyed them all but some more than others for sure. There is a 600 yen service charge but you are well taken care of so I feel it’s worth it. My favorite of the night was the Ohmine. Also the oddly named Fuzzy Green...
