SLOW JET COFFEE — Restaurant in Tokyo

In late 2014, I passed this place on my way to Narita airport, and I strugglingly marked this place in my Google Maps on the moving train. However only in the mid 2015 I had the chance to come to this place, and this coffee shop alongside with the friendly owner and his employees had me at hello. This is my number one pick as the best coffee shop and "cafe sanctuary" in Tokyo.

Their cappuccino and latte are both excellent. But what makes this place really stand out is their hospitality, tranquility, fast internet connection (no kidding), their ¥500 panini+refill coffee breakfast set, and the smell of coffee which really fills the air—as they have their own coffee roaster.

My favorite time to visit Slow Jet is on Monday morning-lunch time, as it's usually not crowded and spread relaxing ambience. Definitely a perfect place to run away from the usual crowded coffee...

Slow Jet coffee Adachi can only be described as wonderful. Great food, exceptionally good coffee and a really good atmosphere. Location is not so convenient, and sometimes noisy road outside are downsides, but worth ignoring as the total experience is so good. Very highly recommended. Update December 2024. Still a really good coffee shop. Morning menu changed and previously available brilliant "waffle morning" discontinued, but still a choice. Definitely still worth a visit. Update October 2025. Made an early morning visit for breakfast. It was a real treat, though a little expensive, 1200 yen for an absolutely delicious hot omelette, creamy mushroom and cheese sandwich served with salad and a choice of drinks. (I chose hot tea.) They created a laid-back and welcoming space with a touch of industrial charm. The coffee here was robust and aromatic, served in their signature mug that enhanced the cozy café experience. The grilled chicken sandwich was hearty and satisfying. Thick cuts of juicy chicken were layered with fresh shredded lettuce and a creamy dressing, all tucked between golden, crisp toast.
