I visited in early December 2024 during my trip! My base was in Ikebukuro and I wish I visited sooner. I found the location on Google Maps with a quick area search.
The restaurant is run by a kind couple. The lady boss recognized that I was Chinese and made me feel so welcomed by reaching out to me, speaking in Mandarin, and helping me be comfortable during my visit! We had such a lovely chat! I expressed wanting to visit again but because I was leaving for another city in 2 days, we weren’t sure when would be a good time… Thankfully I was able to make it back 2 days later! (Which was my last day in Tokyo).
The food was immaculate. I got the 10 piece omakase and a piece of tuna. The pieces of sushi are so big and fresh! The home made miso was delicious. It’s different from traditional miso and had big chunks of fish. It’s also unlimited! The miso and tea are both self serve.
I also want to add that the kind lady boss helped me get comfortable and actually served me the miso and tea a few times before I did it for myself! It was probably so obvious it was my first visit so she wanted to help me out. I truly appreciate the hospitality!!
I can’t wait to be back! The restaurant is small so there is limited seating. Make sure to arrive early as they get busy!! Locals are...
Read moreThis is the best sushi place I’ve ever tried! I was stunned to figure out the cost of set menu is ¥1300 (which had 10 pieces). Where in Tokyo can I get a sushi this good quality for ¥130 each other than this place.
I ordered extra pieces of Engawa and Ikura and look at the size! It is gigantic and tastes amazing! Honestly I would go here everyday if I had the chance. The miso soup had fish inside which made the soup rich in flavour. This place had the best sushi and miso I’ve ever tried. I would definitely recommend this location to other friends and I am going to visit this place again next time I come to Japan.
The owner is kind and friendly although they can’t speak other language than Japanese. They gave me Korean menu to look at...
Read moreA very good place to dine while in Tokyo. The place is small, but the service of the husband-and-wife team is excellent! Although they do not speak English, their hospitality and their food are top-notch (the food quality here is even better than what I ate in Tsukiji market). The miso soup is the best one I’ve tasted in Japan so far. The must-try sushi are the following: 1) Otoro (fatty tuna), 2) Salmon, 3) Unagi (eel). If you can’t decide, I highly recommend you start with the 10-piece sushi. You can never go wrong when you eat...
