The whole experience is a first-class, magnificent journey across the different flavors and textures of the Edomae style sushi. What the sushi master Nao Inagaki brings on the table is an exquisite matching of tastes and techniques that takes you through a continuous, well balanced and thoroughly designed flow consisting of a couple of dozens of small bites. It’s a dance of nigiri and small bites, properly designed to prepare the mouth to accommodates the next step, one after the other. The raw material was excellent, first choice cuts of fish (from tuna to abalone, from horse mackerel to eels and sea urchin). The preparation was superlative. The service was impeccable, praise to the waitress, always present but never annoying, of such a great professionalism that is very rare nowadays. Eventually, a mention to the venue, a cozy and exquisitely decorated ambiance that soothes your mind. Sushi Nishichi is definitely worth to visit, more than once, and can definitely aspire to a Michelin star, since it’s already at the bar with the most renowned sushi restaurants of the...
Read moreThe sushi at this restaurant was undeniably good—fresh ingredients, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. However, the service left much to be desired. One of the hallmarks of Japanese hospitality is omotenashi—a warm, thoughtful approach to service—but unfortunately, that was missing here.

Good food should be complemented by good service, and in this case, the lack of hospitality overshadowed what could have been a great dining experience. Hopefully, the restaurant can improve its approach to customer care in the future.

Read moreThe omakase was okay for the price. I’ve definitely have had better in Tokyo for less money. The service was also mediocre. The person who’s not the chef that helps you is nowhere to be seen except for when they bring out dishes from the back. I was also shocked to discovery that any drinks you order must be paid with cash as they do not take credit card onsite even though when you reserve a table you have to prepay with your credit card. This is not a place I need to return to given the plethora of...
