The hotel is a walking distance to Kiba station which is great. As long as you get to manage and navigate the complex Tokyo subway stations you can go to any parts of Tokyo city from this station.
There are lots of convenience stores like Family Mart and Lawson within few meters from the hotel and some small interesting restaurants (which I hoped we tried but we didnt have much time to explore). There is also a mall within walking distance from the hotel. You can find really good items there. If only Kiba was not our first stop, I would have shopped more.
The room is small and so is the bathroom.
Toiletries were all provided for and they were of good quality. I usually bring my own shampoos and hair conditioners when I travel because most of the time I find those provided by hotels as not of good quality. During our stay in Japan, I didnt find the need to use my own toiletries.
Checking in and out of the hotel were a breeze. Breakfast was ok. The dining staff especially the one who greeted us at the door was friendly and polite.
Overall, I am satisfied with our 2 nights stay...
Read moreAt first, I am hesitant staying on this hotel due to notsogood reviews I've read over the web. But due to its nearness to the Train Station I stayed and see it myself. Overall: Its the place to be when in Tokyo!||5mins walk to the train station. Very accessible and near to Disney, Shibuya, Tsukiji Market and Temples. Shopping areas is just around the corners with myriad of restaurant to choose from.||FYI Hotel Rooms in Japan is small, very minimalist but the one I stayed in Ikebukuro is smaller. Day Nice is decent and above the standards for its category and the service is exceptional.||Breakfast is sumptuous and the the view from my room is stunning. How I wish I could be back to Tokyo for spring to see the beautiful Sakura just beside the hotel.||My 3N business trip to Tokyo is seamless. Needless to say, Reviews are often subjective. So better see...
Read moreDO NOT stay at this hotel. I am so disappointed with Day Nice Hotel. The 1 "pillow" provided for my bed was a cushion and not a proper pillow. When I asked to have another pillow provided, they wanted 300¥ for each night. The man at reception was extremely rude and told me NO! I could not have another without paying. Furniture in the lobby was stained and dirty. Carpet in our room hadn't been vacuumed. We stayed at two other hotels prior to a cruise and then after the cruise and then had to come to this hotel as our tour was using this one. The other two hotels were outstanding and the staff were so friendly and helpful, which has just highlighted how rude the...
