TAKAO COFFEE — Restaurant in Tokyo

Nice café. It was full when I arrived on Sunday during the foliage season, but the waiting time was not too long. I believe I was seated within 10 minutes. The cakes look very tempting, but the carrot cake and the orange upside-down cakes did not impress me with their flavor. They were just okay. I also tried an apricot cheesecake. That one is amazing. Coffee was also good, but I ordered M size; they served me L (even though it did not look big) and, of course, charged me for big too. It's also a pity that they do not reserve cakes by phone. My wife and I were on our way home from climbing Mt. Takao and decided to order cake, which showed take-out ok from the outside. When we tried to order they said they do not do take-out when it's a holiday weekend due to being busy, but we could eat the cake if we sat down. What is the difference if I am a paying customer. I would recommend removing the signs from the outside. I come to this area about once a week, but will probably not try this place anymore. Coffee and cake was great. The size seems small but actually very filling. Great place to unwind and take a break after a nice hike or adventure at Mt Takao. This place is great to take a date and have a relaxing time to enjoy good coffee and unwind. The cake texture, taste, and sweetness was excellent. Coffee was great.
