Toriyoshi- Kichijoji — Restaurant in Tokyo

We have 3 Toriyoshi in Kichijoji, but this particular one is their show piece, at the bottom of the steps to Inokashira Park. You enter into a garden area with a couple of outside tables, then the second door where a receptionist will seat you. Ask for a booth. (It may be best to make a reservation.) They are private, comfortable rooms, great for 4 to 6 people. This is basically a chicken restaurant, but there are other items: salads, grilled skewered beef, potatoes, etc. There are many delicious things they do with a chicken, but their most famous is their spicy chicken wings. This is a must to order. Beer, sake, and wine are available. The staff is friendly. The place is a bit expensive, but if you want quality, you gotta pay. Can't...

Excellent service and very efficient staff! Tge servers were polite and welcoming. We sat outside and they offered us blankets. Foreign customers were offered menus in English as well.

Chicken wings is definitely a must try! All their other dishes taste great too (except for that egg soup which was salty, but i'm willing to overlook that because the staff really works hard in this busy place)

吉祥寺、井の頭公園のほとり。 この街の喧騒を一歩離れるように現れるのが「おもてなし とりよし」さん。 静けさに包まれた和空間には、都会の中に確かに残る“もてなし”の美学が息づいていた。

この日は、宝石店を営む80歳の社長との久々の語らい。 留学時代から10年を超える付き合いだが、そんな男同士だからこそ、 焼き鳥を前にして話せることがある。

まず心を掴まれたのは、冷製の鶏ポタージュ。 お通しの粋を越えた一皿で、コース全体への期待が高まる。

そこからは、まさに“鶏づくし”の本領発揮。 ・パリッと香ばしい 手羽先の唐揚げ ・つくね、砂肝、軟骨、皮、ねぎま——タレも塩も見事に決まった 焼き鳥盛り合わせ ・脂ののった 天然まぐろトロ、鯛、帆立の刺身三種 ・カラッと揚がった メヒカリの唐揚げ ・滋味深く染みた 茄子のおひたし

串はどれも他店より一回り大きく、口に入れた瞬間に広がる肉の旨味と絶妙な火入れ。 「よなよなエール」を傾けながら、じっくりと味わう焼き鳥は、大人のご褒美そのものだった。

スタッフの所作や声のトーンまで心地よく、 “予約が取れたらまた来よう”と素直に思わせてくれる名店です。
