Trattoria Filo — Restaurant in Tokyo

We visited for dinner on a Monday and it was relatively quiet, but we had one of the most simple but delicious Italian dinners in this area and walked away thoroughly enjoying the meal, ambience and the experience.

Helmed by a young chef, who was working in the kitchen and servicing at the same time, seemed absolutely in his element in the kitchen and you could see the passion of his work in the dishes. We had two appetizers, both of them were simple, but showcasing the beautiful local produce in it's right manner and not overpowering them with heavy flavours but had good depth of flavour and was very inventive.

We had two pastas and both of them were 10 out of 10 for us. Again simple pasta cooking styles, not overpowering with rich flavours or ingredients, no place to hide in such simple cooking style unless you get that right and both the pastas were perfection seasoned, cooked ans finished to perfection.

Being a Italian wine lover, I was surprised to see a good range of DOCG wines on offer and couple of Barbera wines I tasted was spot on.

Nice wine and food pasta, especially the sea urchin one. If I would suggest something should be improved mute is the atmosphere for the ones not being familiar with the staff members there. We felt like literally"visitors" (not guests), while others enjoy closer conversations with the staff members...

Service quality well above average (i mean Tokyo average). In my opinion so far, best taste of pasta of all pasta restaurant along the Keio line. And rather inexpensive. One of those restaurants where i prefer to be charged more rather than seeing it...
