Wagyu YAKINIKU Ushioto — Restaurant in Tokyo

We were staying nearby for our Tokyo holiday and this place was so good we had to go twice. An absolutely wonderful yakiniku with excellent service. Very large menu consisting beef to grill plus lots of salads and sides to choose from. They specialise in hormone but if you are not quite that adventurous, they have many regular cuts of high grade beef as well. Good selection of drinks. The beef was presented so well and so delicious that this is one of the best meals I have ever had. The restaurant is comfortable and cosy and the service was perfect. It is small and gets very busy so reservations are highly recommended. Previous reviews mention that this is not the least expensive yakiniku but compared to London prices, we ate like royalty for 1/4 of what we would pay back home. Ushioto was friendly and made us feel welcomed even with the language barrier. They used their phone to chat with us in English. We went to one place before this restaurant and was turned away even though their sign said they closed at 11pm and we were there hours before 11pm, but im glad because we ended up at this delicious place. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. I like the vents that suck the smoke so you dont smell like cooked meat. They took visa card as well. We were served shortly before 10p.m. even though last order is 10p.m. the staff was really nice and welcoming. Presentation and taste of the food was amazing. Really nice experience and great atmosphere. Even though we came late and were not able to communicate well the staff made us feel welcome and even had someone who could help us with English which was very helpful given the short time until last order.
