Came by on a late rainy afternoon, closed to the closing time as I was looking for a place to spend some time while waiting for the sun to set. It is a coffee place and the shop is offering 2 types of desserts - tarte tatin and cream cheesecake. For first timer, the owner will make some recommendation. A good place to spend some quiet time alone (I don't speak Japanese), the music playing in the background reminds me of the old American movies during war time.

The owner is a very friendly guy and you can hear him talking to other patrons (Japanese). I had the blended coffee as suggested by the owner. Taste wise, it is something very personal that I can't speak for everyone, at least it is good enough for me. Owner maintains some social medias account and he will suggest that you follow him on the socmed but it is up to you to decide.

Edited: I forgot to mentioned that the mobile connection may be weak in the shop but you may ask for Wifi...

We were on our way from Tokyo Tower to teamLab Borderless when we came across this cool coffee bar tucked away in the basement of a building, so we figured we'd drop in. A great decision, because the coffee was terrific, as was the fruit tart slice. The atmosphere is old-school and intimate, with lots of dark wood and an eclectic selection of cups and saucers -- feels more like a speakeasy than a coffee shop! Service was super-friendly. We chatted briefly with the owner, who generously gave us a complimentary second cup of coffee. It really hit the spot as a midday recharge! If you're in the area, definitely...

The Hayashi rice here is the best Hayashi rice I have had in Japan. It is incredibly flavorful with strong notes of tomato and beef stock. The price has gone up over the past couple of years, but it is still very much worth it for the lunch special with coffee and dessert. The coffee is a pour over, and one of the few coffees in Japan that I actually enjoy rather than simply tolerate.

I recommend going for lunch if you are sensitive to smoke as lunch time is non-smoking and dinner time allows smoking.

The apple pie is also delicious with a nice soft...

I was on my way to Tokyo Tower and found this cafe by chnace in the basement of a building just around the corner. The cafe owner was very nice and made me a really delicious cup of coffee (rich in flavour)! For lunch, he was serving today's special which was Hayashi Rice - also very delicious! The interior has a lot of wooden furniture and is kept in darker tones. What I also noticed was that no cup was the same, so each cup was unique. I will definitely go back there when I visit Tokyo!
