My experience at this establishment was incredibly disappointing. As a party with a stroller, I was shocked by how unwelcome I was made to feel. Despite seeing empty tables, I was refused service outright after speaking English, with the staff claiming there were no available seats. The treatment felt deliberately dismissive and discriminatory, which left a sour taste in what should have been a simple dining experience.
While I understand that cultural practices in Japan may differ, outright hostility toward families and tourists is unnecessary. Reading other reviews, it seems this establishment has a history of similar behavior—showing disdain toward anyone with children or those who don’t conform to their unspoken “rules.”
If this restaurant doesn’t allow children or strollers, they should have the decency to post a clear sign outside or include it on their menu, rather than subjecting parents to such an appalling and humiliating experience. It is unfair to mislead customers into thinking they are welcome, only to treat them with contempt upon arrival.
No matter how good the food might be, it’s hard to enjoy a meal in a place where the atmosphere is so cold and exclusionary. Until management makes an effort to welcome all patrons—or at the very least, communicate their policies transparently—I would not recommend this...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at this place. As a tourist with a 5-year-old, I folded my stroller and noticed two empty tables available with no reservations. After others sat down, I approached to ask for a seat, but when I spoke in English, they immediately refused to serve me and claimed there were no tables available. The staff were unwelcoming and not at all accommodating to foreigners or tourists. It's disheartening to be treated this way. I would not recommend this...
Read moreWhat a gem of a place! I loved people watching and seeing part of the tokyo tower outside the windows. The owner is the sweetest person and was very patient with our google translating. He has an English menu (though I think it’s an old version). The toast was buttery goodness and salad with onion dressing was so cheap at 100yen! Torako pasta was delicious. Would love to try the curry...
