Charcoal grilled chicken was good. It appears they use lean chicken which had quite a dense flavour and slight sweetness. I also liked that it had a slightly chewy texture hence able to get more flavour out of each bite. Charcoal flavours were also great.

I liked the spicy chicken skin (cold dish) as well. The seasoning was on point and the inclusion of bits of lean meat (attached to the skin) added a new dimension of flavour and texture and was certainly a nice touch.

Those 2 were the only dishes that I liked.

These are the dishes which were disappointing:

The fried lotus root was seasoned way too aggressively with wasabi/horseradish, overpowering the taste of lotus root. Didn’t help that it wasn’t served hot so it’s flaws were immediately noticeable and made it really unpalatable.

Tsukune and the fried chicken ball had really poor texture. Gives the impression that both were way over mixed and over cooked. Maybe the interpretation of the chef for the chicken ball is as such (compensated by the fat in the Mayo served separately) but there is no excuse for the dry Tsukune which could use more cartilage and fat.

The fried chicken wings was essentially mid section of the wings split into 2 portions and deep fried. At first glance, the shrinkage from over frying was very noticeable. At least the seasoning was adequate and the skin side was ok in terms of taste and texture. But the meat side was extremely dry and lacked flavour. Makes me feel like I am paying for half the experience. If you are gonna over fry your chicken wings at least fry the full wing and not split in 2 so the moisture is contained better.

The worst dish was the fried rice topped with omelette because the rice was a disaster. it was a little undercooked - partly grainy, partly soft and mushy and worst of all it wasn’t even served warm. I had no desire to eat beyond the first bite.

休み前にのんびり飲みたくて来たのだが、最悪の時間を過ごす事に…

地鶏焼きを頼んだが、配膳からテーブルに置く際、鶏肉が2~3切れテーブルに落ち転がる…何も言わずその場を去ろうとする茶髪低身長の女性アルバイトさんだったが、「落ちた肉はそのままですか？」と声をかけると、転がり落ちた肉を素手で摘み、言葉もなくそのままゴミ箱へ… 謝りの一言も無く、拾って捨てておきましたと言う行動(あえて接客とは言いません)はあっけに取られました！ 特に作り直す訳でも無く、何か別の埋め合わせ提案する訳でもなく…何事も無かったように自然な動き。ここは貴女の自宅では無いよね？個々の育ちの問題？小さな子供でも謝る事は出来るのに、それすらしないのは【無かったことに】したいという誤魔化しと私は感じました。

今、この出来事をリアルタイムに書いているのですが、大変気分が悪く追加オーダーせず、このまま別の店に行こうと思います。 別の料理を配膳いただいた女性スタッフの方にお伝えしたのですが、その方は我が事の様に非常に丁寧に謝罪いただきましたので、逆に申し訳なかったです。 時間をおいて当の本人も謝りに来られましたが、ミスは誰でもあるから気持ちとしては許してあげたいけど、他人に言われるまでその行動に疑問を感じていなかったのが驚きですし、彼女の今後の為にも…許しません！とお伝えしました。これを機に知らぬふりではなく、トラブルから逃げないで自ら謝る事やその後のフォローや、フォローできない範囲は他の人にすぐ報告や相談等して欲しいと…願っています。

料理自体は並以上で概ね美味しいですが、地鶏焼きは網が焦げすぎなのか焦げ味がかなり肉に移ってしまっているのが残念でした。ポテトサラダがいちばん美味しかったが、サイドメニューと言うのが… 量とお値段の感覚で言うとやや高いと感じます。3,000円位の量で4,000円程度の請求という感覚ですね。
