The restaurant is housed in a building that feels like an old Japanese home, which initially left me questioning if I had come to the right place. Upon entering, it was completely empty except for someone sitting in a cozy chair. I wasn’t sure if the shop was even open until I asked, and they confirmed it was. However, there was no welcome greeting, which felt a bit off.

After being seated, the staff immediately handed me a warm tissue, but directly to my hand instead of placing it on the table—which I found odd. When I looked at the menu, I noticed the usual offerings and decided to order a fried chicken set and a sashimi set. Unfortunately, I was told the sashimi set wasn’t available—no explanation given. So, I settled for a karaage set and a chicken katsu set.

When the food arrived, the portions were much larger than expected, which was a pleasant surprise. The chicken was flavorful, but both the miso soup and chicken katsu were excessively salty—too salty to fully enjoy. It was disappointing, as I’ve never had such salty miso soup before. However, the rice and the overall quality of the meals were satisfying, apart from the saltiness.

The checkout process was strange. I wanted to pay with PayPay and asked for the total amount, but the staff didn’t respond verbally and simply nodded toward the menu. No bill or receipt was provided, which was quite unprofessional.

Overall, while the portion sizes and some aspects of the food were enjoyable, the excessive saltiness and lack of proper customer service left much to be desired. It’s not an experience I’d be...

通い初めて10年以上になります。

安いです。量も多いです。味も間違いなく美味しいです。オススメはしょうが焼き定食と唐揚げ定食です。 しょうが焼きは大ぶりな豚ロースに甘じょっぱいタレが絡んで異次元の柔らかさになっています。 唐揚げは揚げたてをかぶりついた瞬間、高温の肉汁と油が口の中に飛び込んできて最高です。 コスパを求める人は刺身定食がいいかも。 エビチリも町中華のエビチリで日本一の美味しさです。

味が少し濃くご飯が進むので筑波大学の部活生や力仕事の人にはありがたいです。ご飯おかわりもできます。

学生定食はできた料理を自分で取りに行き、器の下げも自分でやるセルフサービス方式のことです。通常より値引きされるので学生にオススメ。

店長は秋田出身だからか寡黙で人見知りです。東北訛りと少し悪い滑舌のため、初めて訪れる人はコミュニケーションに苦労するかもしれません。10年以上通っている私も聞き取れないことが多々あります。

人見知りではあるけれど人好きなのでお客さんによく話しかけます。真顔で冗談を言うタイプなので初めて来店した人は戸惑うと思います。 例としては「(19時来店で)今日は売り切れたからもう店じまいだよ。」とか「お前生気ない顔してるな。」とかを真顔で言われます。もちろん冗談です。 「何言ってるんですか(笑)」と返してほしい店長なりの不器用なコミュニケーションのようです。

店長は破天荒で無愛想で不器用ですが、人情に厚く気が利き、優しいです。人生相談をしたときは言葉は少ないですが真摯にアドバイスしてくれました。良くも悪くも、THE昭和の親父ですね。 「絶対にまた来たい人」と「絶対に二度と来たくない人」がはっきり分かれそうです。 割合は7:3くらいですかね。私は7のほうなのでずっと通っています。 一度来店してみてどちらに...
