中華料理 満州屋 — Restaurant in Utsunomiya

Small restaurant with only 4 tables, located in an alley behind the mega Don Quijote and they have a fluffy and freshly cooked gyoza, made to order. Gyoza's skin are shining and crispy. It's a good choice for vegetarian too, they have a tofu and cabbage gyoza.

Pork, chicken, beef, seafood and vegetables, they have all of these type of gyoza's filling.

Not only gyoza, but there's also a miso / soyu / shio ramen with reasonable price with big portion.

行列ができていたり、誰もいなかったりする不思議なお店。 土曜日に駿河屋に断捨離しに来た際、入り口で刀削麺の看板を見て、食べたくなって入りました。

ランチメニューもあったので、メニューをよく見ると「土日祝は＋100円」と書かれており、土曜日の昼時にお客がいなかった理由が少し分かりました。

刀削麺の中でも一番高い牛肉刀削麺(1080円)を注文しました。 他の人のコメントに「提供が遅い」と書かれていたので、駐車場の時間もあるので時間を測ってました。 大体20分くらいで出てきました。 他の客が全くいなかったことを考えると、確かに遅いかもしれません。

麺の量も値段の割には少ない感じがしました。 スープの味は醤油味で濃厚でありながらさっぱりしており美味しかったです。 上に乗っている牛筋も柔らかく、八角の香りがついていて美味しかったです。 肝心の麺は全て同じ太さでした。 刀削麺の持ち味である、麺の厚いところや薄いところの差がほとんどなく、全て同じ厚さで切り出されていて逆に驚きました。

最後に、あとから入ってきた常連さんらしき人が「麻辣坦々麺」なるものを注文していました。 メニュー表に無かったところを見ると裏メニューなのでしょうか？ 羨ましい。 次回行くことがあった...
