Tenman Gyoza — Restaurant in Utsunomiya

I had three hours to kill in Tokyo and a valid Shinkasen pass. Amidst total confusion in the Japanese rail office about what on earth I thought I was doing, one lady said that Utsunomiya was famous for its dumplings. So 50 minutes on the bullet train to Utsunomiya, walked out the station, found a dumplingerie, ate dumplings and had a beer , walked out and caught the train back. Was it worth it? Absolutely....

宇都宮駅西口の、最も外装や幟が目立つ餃子レストラン。しかし中は至って普通の食堂という感じです。 焼き餃子、揚げ餃子、水餃子等、調理方法が異なる餃子を揃えていますが、包まれている餡は普通。色々な味や食感が楽しめる餃子が多く揃っている、というわけではありません。勿論、味や食感も可も無く不可も無く、とりわけ惹かれるような要素がありませんでした。 とは言え、宇都宮周辺の餃子店は、店内の構造もサービスも悪く、味も大して美味しくないお店もあるため、それらと比較すると及第点、といったところです。

餃～子！の町!って事で宇都宮へ行って来ました（笑）宇都宮駅が新しく開発されて全くわからない状態で南口の交番へ（汗）餃子食べたく来たんですかドコへ行けば良いですか？と、たずねると警官2人居られ一人の女性警官が親切に駅裏や並びに美味しいお店有りますよ!って親切に教えて下さりました。車を駅前の駐車場へ止め、あいにく雨だったんで駅のトコに有ると聞いた「餃子オブジェ？」観るのは諦め（泣）少しウロウロしながら入ろうかとしたお店は軒並みコロナコロナ言っている御時世にもかかわらず座るトコ無い盛況ぶりでした(^^;) 流石～にヤバイと思いお客さんが少ないお店と思い丁度お客さんが出られたお店へ入りました(^^;) とりあえず揚げ餃子と普通の餃子とビールを頼みたかったんですが、圏外からの車だったんでノンアルコールビール!大人の選択を( TДT) 揚げ餃子ももっちり美味しく具だくさんで、普通の餃子?もキャベツなど甘味がパクパクイケる美味しい餃子でしたね！で、美味くナイ、ノンアルコールビール飲んで再度メニュー表を観ると（汗）ビール一杯と餃子とおつまみセット!!!1,000円!（汗）(;ﾟдﾟ)ｪ… 普通に安い～(...
