Cafe de More — Restaurant in Uwajima

I ordered a ham sandwich. I have a very low spice tolerance level and the sandwich was spicy for me! How, I don't know. Maybe the ham or mayonnaise?The place is mainly for the vibe and not for the food. Also, if you can't read some Japanese, or don't have a translator app, or know some Japanese, this place is not for you as there is not one thing in English. But, the owner tries to use easy Japanese and katakana words. She is really sweet. You can probably smoke in here freely as each table has an ashtray (it also smells of smoke but no one did it while I was there which I'm happy about as smoke makes me cough like crazy 😂). Very old showa era style breakfast cafe. There are many drawings around the place, I think the owner is the one who drew them all. She is a kind older lady, and made us feel comfortable. 宇和島駅前に存在する昭和の匂い漂うカフェと名の付く純喫茶。家族3人で午後3時過ぎに訪れました。 入口には数枚の人物画？‥な〜んか不思議な独特の空気感。一瞬入店を躊躇いましたが酷暑の8月、外は殺人的な暑さだしここは一息入れたい涼みたい。背に腹は代えられない！のでエイヤと入店。

雑然とした、お世辞にも清潔とは言い難い店内のカフェド・モアさん。老夫婦2人で営まれているみたい。早朝6:30オープンなのも頷けます！気になってた絵画は店内の壁という壁に所狭しと数十点が飾られていて目を見張りました。この絵画達、どうやらお店のご主人オリジナルみたいですね。実際、店内の一角で製作されている現場も目撃したし。良い趣味をお持ちのようですが‥同じ店内で、かつ私達お客が存在する一緒のスペースで絵画活動ってどうなのよ？と心の中で思いつつ。 オーダーしたのはアイスコーヒーにバナナフロート。あんまり甘みの無いバナナジュースだなぁ。けど娘に『バニラアイス溶かしながら飲むと美味いよ』と言われ、なるほど。あ、確かにクドくない絶妙な甘さに変化。へ〜、ちょっと感心しちゃった。 アーティストなご主人からは結局私達に入店から退店まで『いらっしゃいませ、ありがとうございました』すら何もなく。しかし老夫婦店主のおばちゃまはホンワカ可愛らしく愛想良しで、なんか...
